Shiva College of Education is the first college of education established in Distt. Bilaspur determining the quality and excellence in higher education. Shiva College came into existence by progressive thoughts of Shiva Educational Society Abdhanighat Ghumarwin. The college is duly recognized by NCTE Jaipur affiliated to H.P.University Shimla and approved by H. P. Govt. It has its own well furnished campus comprising class rooms Administrative rooms fully equipped laboratories computerized library, multipurpose hall with sitting capacity of 200 students and a playground. College is determined to make the institute an excellent center of education under the guidance of Mr. Purushotam Sharma and other members of society.

It will be achieved through improving the college?s programs and units by establishing high ?functioning learning community. Moreover , the College will seek to response the diverse needs of the society , the problems of educational field, and the challenges to comprehensive development through presenting initiative for educational reform, and employing knowledge , research, and development in the way possible in light of the values and needs of the society and according to the academic accreditation criteria .
